Vandalia Health is seeking an accomplished and visionary Division Chief of Thoracic Surgery to lead and expand thoracic surgical services across our integrated health system. This leadership role will be at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of thoracic care in West Virginia and beyond. This leader will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other Vandalia Health hospitals with regard to thoracic surgery.

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for thoracic surgery services across Vandalia Health.
- Lead recruitment, mentorship, and development of thoracic surgery faculty and staff.
- Collaborate with system leadership to expand service lines, enhance quality, and drive innovation.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence through teaching, research, and scholarly activity.
- Ensure alignment with system-wide goals in quality, safety, and patient experience.
- Perform a full range of thoracic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques for lung and esophageal.
- Engage in teaching through CAMC’s 20+ residency and fellowship programs.
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives supported by over 300 active studies.
- Access to cutting-edge technology and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
- Clinical expertise in minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery
- Proven leadership experience in an academic or large health system setting
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and innovation
- Eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia
