Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Opening in Pittsburgh, PA
Location: 816 Middle Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, USA
Salary: $88,000-$98,000 per year. Base salary commensurate with experience/training.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide primary care to pediatric and adult patients, including exams, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination with supervising physicians and specialists as needed.
- Ensure care meets regulatory, clinical, and quality standards; contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the EHR; attend required meetings and trainings.
- Work scheduled clinic hours, including some evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage; conduct in-person and virtual visits from assigned sites.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, uphold professional standards, and support patient self-management goals.
- Supervise students as assigned; participate in at least 2 hours of community outreach annually.
- Follow universal precautions and safety protocols; capable of extended periods of sitting/standing.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with managers, physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment and with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintains requisite CME credits for area of specialty.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Requisite skills and ability to perform certain medical tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills to better serve patients and staff.
- Ability to utilize computers for data entry and information retrieval.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MSN or DNP from an accredited institution; licensed NP in Pennsylvania with current certification
- Active DEA license and BLS certification required
- Minimum 5 years of Family Medicine NP experience under board-certified physician supervision
- Experience with patients across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric)
- Required clearances: Act 33, 34, 73
- Annual flu vaccine required; COVID vaccination encouraged
- Must provide or obtain proof of: PPD, Tdap, Hep B, MMR, and varicella immunity within 14 days of hire
- Completion of fitness-for-duty self-attestation
