Location: East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC)

The Physician at ELFHCC provides high-quality medical care by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and administering appropriate treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general medicine and a collaborative spirit, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Deliver primary and/or specialty care in clinical, home, and nursing home settings
Diagnose and treat conditions through physical exams, histories, and diagnostic testing
Manage care for hospitalized patients at UPMC facilities, as assigned
Supervise clinical work of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff
Participate in call rotations during evenings and weekends
Maintain timely and accurate medical records; submit billing within 48 hours
Complete required documentation, including patient forms and insurance paperwork
Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements
Review labs and cultures; follow up with patients as needed
Support CME, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to clinical protocol development and attend administrative meetings
Perform additional duties as assigned
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Current Pennsylvania medical license
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB-GYN
Minimum of 3 years post-residency clinical experience preferred
Interest in urban/inner-city medicine strongly preferred

Proficiency in EMR systems and strong diagnostic and communication skills
Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend shifts, home visits, and hospital rounds
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-based care model

Community-oriented mindset and commitment to interdisciplinary care
This position operates in a fast-paced clinical and community-based setting. Local travel is required. Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting/standing and occasional lifting of 5–10 lbs.
