Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is a 200 bed community hospital, serving the residents of Chatham and rural Kent including Walpole Island and Delaware First Nations. Formed in 2018, CKHA is committed to delivering quality and safe care at its two sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg. CKHA collaborates with other partners to deliver care across its community. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President, Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Executive provides strategic leadership as a collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role encompasses the functions of a lead physician executive; an important set of operational responsibilities including medical administration, resource planning and program development; the leadership of the hospital’s strategic focus to harness innovative ideas and empower the clinical leaders; and sound leadership on clinical, professionalism, medico/legal matters and legislative and regulatory compliance.
As the ideal candidate, you are a key partner to the Senior Team, Chief of Staff, and Department Chiefs to drive clinical change while engaging physicians and other health care professionals. You possess proven ability to build, nurture and influence productive, collaborative and communicative relationships within, across and outside of our organization. You bring a record of accomplishment in physician leadership roles to this important position.
