Job Description

Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and is experienced in primary care to provide part-time on-site services for the male population at this facility. The schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on the facility's needs. The selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients/per hour. The assignment may last at least 4 months and could possibly lead to permanent hire if there is a mutually good fit. A phone interview and on-site meeting/tour at the facility will be required.

The following credentialing documents must be submitted: a comprehensive resume with education (with location and year of graduation), training, complete work history, an Ohio license, healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification, and board certification. A Drug Enforcement Administration certification should also be submitted as required for the assignment. If an offer is extended, the vendor must supply drug and TB test documents for review by the hiring manager at least 48 hours before the start date, or the start date may be postponed.

Physician Duties
 Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment
for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting
utilizing an electronic health record system
 Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
 Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
 Managing medication
 Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
 Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
 Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures,
protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
 Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer
reviews
 Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
 Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients/hour
