25 hours per month - 8am -1pm / but can be flexible with the hours

Serves as a health care provider, providing primary care in coordination and collaboration with physician, interdisciplinary healthcare and medical health team. Create and implement patient care plans and performs advanced nursing duties within the boundaries of their licenser. Monitors progress of patients and intervenes in the course of acute illness, completes comprehensive health exam. Evaluates the necessity for further testing or referral to appropriate specialist. Prescribes appropriate medication, works in collaboration with supervising physician as required by Ohio law. Documents findings and prescribes medication or administers treatment of acute and chronically ill patients. Maintains required medical records documents medical information gathered during patients interviews according to agency and hospital guidelines policies protocols bylaws and agency. Provide clinical direction to registered nurses, license practical nurses and other care givers. Demonstrate awareness of legal aspects of nursing related to the nurse practitioner, nurse practice act and accepted standards. Provides in-service and continuing education to direct care staff.
