Philadelphia, PA |Full-Time | M-F 8:30-4:30 pm, Leadership Role in FQHC Environment

Are you a mission-driven physician with a passion for high-quality, integrated care and a heart for underserved communities? Project HOME is seeking a dynamic Lead Physician to join our award-winning Stephen Klein Wellness Center team. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide compassionate direct patient care while also mentoring and supervising a multidisciplinary team of medical providers and psychiatric nurse practitioners—all in service to Philadelphia’s most vulnerable populations.

About the Role
As Lead Physician, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care, including OB/GYN and pediatric services
  • Supervise and mentor clinical providers across medical and behavioral health
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations, prescribe treatment plans, and ensure documentation meets quality and regulatory standards
  • Lead performance evaluations and quality improvement projects
  • Partner with medical leadership to support productivity, recruitment, and strategic clinical goals

You’ll also support a culture of continuous learning and communication by conducting regular clinical “rounds,” fostering a patient-first approach grounded in dignity, transparency, and evidence-based care.

Who You Are
✔ Board-certified MD or DO licensed in Pennsylvania
✔ 3+ years clinical experience in primary care; 1+ year in a supervisory role
✔ Skilled in OB/GYN and pediatric care, including high-risk cases
✔ Experienced in HIV care, LGBTQ+ health, and medication-assisted treatment
✔ Committed to racial equity, health justice, and inclusive care
✔ Familiar with E Clinical Works and FQHC regulations

  • Leadership in quality improvement
  • Experience working in urban, underserved settings
  • Calm and skilled in de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
