River Region Psychiatry Associates is actively seeking a Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director at our Columbia, TN location. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated behavioral health team at Pinewood Springs, a growing inpatient psychiatric hospital, while also maintaining flexibility to shape your own clinical mix.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as Medical Director at Pinewood Springs, overseeing psychiatric care and guiding clinical operations

• Provide direct psychiatric services in an inpatient setting (Monday–Friday)

• Optional outpatient coverage available at our Franklin Clinic with additional compensation

• Participate in limited call coverage (one weekend per month)

• Mentor and collaborate with mid-level providers and multidisciplinary team members

• Partner with leadership on program development, quality initiatives, and patient-centered innovation

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Base Salary: $300,000 – $350,000+, depending on scope

• Additional Earnings for outpatient expansion or broader leadership responsibilities

Qualifications

• MD or DO, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)

• Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure

• Previous leadership experience is a plus, but not required.

• Strong interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills

• Passion for team-based care and mental health program development
