Anesthesia Locum Coverage Needed at Tanner Health 

Tanner Health is recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to assist with 12 weeks of additional OR coverage. This locum position is an exciting opportunity to assist West Georgia Anesthesia Associates, a hospital-employed group.

Structure of position:

• 12 weeks of coverage starting at the end of September and going through mid-December.
• Monday- Friday only, 8-hour shifts.
• No call or weekend coverage required.
• Covering Carrollton location only.
• 15 Anesthesiologists/ 28 full-time CRNAs.
• Bread and butter cases only. Separate dedicated heart and OBGYN anesthesia teams.
• Cases include regionals, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, pediatrics, spinal, orthopedic, gastroenterology, vascular, oral plastics, and general “bread & butter”.
• Must be proficient in nerve blocks.
• Tanner will cover malpractice insurance, mileage, and lodging.

West Georgia Anesthesia Associates has been providing exceptional anesthesia care for Tanner Health System patients at all three of the system’s hospitals since 2005. As the medical center has grown, so has our group, which is now comprised of a large and skilled team of physician anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).

All of our anesthesiologists are board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and all of our nurse anesthetists are certified through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. At West Georgia Anesthesia Associates, our providers also have certifications in both Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

West Georgia Anesthesia Associates offers pre-surgical anesthetic consultation and anesthesia for surgical patients at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica and Higgins General Hospital in Bremen. Our team has a combined experience of more than 100 years in providing anesthesia for specialties including otolaryngology (ENT), gynecology (GYN), gastroenterology (GI), ophthalmology, plastics, dental, vascular, general, orthopedic and podiatric surgery.

Additionally, West Georgia Anesthesia Associates provides pediatric and obstetric anesthesia services for the W. Steve Worthy Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton and The Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica.
