The Ralph H Johnson VA Health Care System, Geriatric and Extended Care (GEC) Service is recognized as one of the leading innovative geriatric specialty programs in the country. We have developed the freestanding ACE unit, a unique specialty geriatric interdisciplinary evaluation clinic (GIVE) and a high-risk geriatric home evaluation program (GHELP). There are extensive opportunities for clinician growth and development.
The Chief, GEC, has responsibility for general supervision of clinical or training programs, and overall technical and administrative oversight for operations with the Geriatrics & Extended Care Service.
