UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC) is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our well-established group, the largest of its kind within the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS). Located just minutes from Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay, BWMC offers the ideal blend of academic opportunity and community-focused care.

What the Role Offers:

• Full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a)

• No call—enjoy true work-life balance

• Always two pediatricians on shift—no solo coverage

• Clinical responsibilities include:

• Pediatric Emergency Department care

• Coverage of Level II-A Special Care Nursery

• Well Baby Nursery and inpatient pediatric unit (10 beds)

• Attending deliveries as needed

• Epic EMR in place for streamlined care coordination

• Teach and mentor third-year pediatric residents, family medicine residents, and medical students rotating through the hospital

• Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
• Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within Pediatric or Pediatric Hospital Medicine
• Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
• Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
• Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
• Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.

Compensation:

• Pay Range: Pediatric Hospitalist Starting base at $95/hour, increases based on years of experience
• Additional compensation options available for discussion include a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a productivity bonus.
