Emergency Staffing Solutions (ESS) is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Emergency Medicine physician to step into a Medical Director role at a critical access facility in central Louisiana.

This is a  clinical and leadership opportunity ideal for a physician who thrives in a rural setting, values autonomy, and wants to make a lasting impact on patient care and departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent ESS and serve as a liaison with hospital leadership, staff, and the local community

• Lead and attend departmental meetings; submit regular operational reports

• Guide emergency department initiatives around quality assurance, infection control, risk management, and performance improvement

• Review peer cases monthly and assist in handling complaints or incident reviews

• Help implement ED readiness programs and new protocols

• Provide clinical coverage with flexible scheduling

What We’re Looking For

• Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with demonstrated ER experience

• Prior leadership or administrative experience strongly preferred

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in rural and resource-limited settings
