Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery- Burn at Riley Children's Hospital (Internal Candidates Only)

Job Description

Riley Children's Hospital is seeking a burn and general plastics Advanced Practice Provider.The Burn Unit at Riley Hospital for Childrenis the only pediatric burn program in Indiana verified by the American Burn Association.Our Riley burn unit houses a 10-bed burn unit within walking distance from the adult hospital. There are over 170 admissions, and the dedicated Riley Burn clinic sees approximately 2,400 burn outpatient per year with more than 700 unique patient visits. There are dedicated advanced practice providers to assist with daily patient care, outpatient evaluations, and coordinating burn reconstructions. The burn team, with assistance from the PICU services, manages all medical aspects of acute burn care along with the surgical debridement's, wound closures, and reconstructive procedures.In addition, burn reconstruction includes laser scar therapy, scar revision, and flap reconstruction.

The ideal candidate will primarily have experience in the OR and burns along with plastic surgery services.The practice will focus on coverage for our burn service. This service is covered 4 days a week currently with the ability to expand to 5 days a week with this position.It will also consist of pediatric general plastics patients, cleft and craniofacial, along with hand injuries and trauma.

Qualifications:

  • Must be anACNP, FNP, PNP or PA
  • Experience in OR and burns along with plastic surgery services

  • Operative APP will cover general plastics, cleft and craniofacial program
  • Help support and see patients on our pediatric burn service at Riley
  • 7a-330p M-F
  • 40 or 30% Inpatient Work
  • 60 or 70% Outpatient Work
