As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner you will: Duties - Provide leadership and direction to the neonatal critical care and newborn care services within the Department of Maternal Child Health and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. - Provide wide range of direct patient care services within the evolving profession of the advanced practice Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. - Lead and coordinate delivery of critical care to neonates to include assessing patient acuity. - Manage neonatal emergencies, leading the resuscitation team in the acute stabilization and life-saving management of critically ill neonates. - Provide emergency interventional support in specialized therapeutic or diagnostic procedures for critically ill neonates. - Coordinate interdisciplinary care by communicating with Pediatric Specialist and Obstetric physicians regarding patient management and establishing care plans for patients. - Provide counseling to families regarding anticipated need for intervention and prognosis of conditions of patient.
