Hospitalist Job at Defense Health Agency Medical Civilian Corps in Hawaii

MAJOR DUTIE - Serve as physician in the Inpatient Medical Service. - Perform duties in the advanced examination, diagnosis, and treatment of inpatients admitted to the Inpatient Medical Service. - Evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, differentiating among the various contributory causes, and prescribes appropriate treatment. - Follow through on cases to ensure effectiveness and alters course of treatment as indicated for adult patients. - Perform advanced access techniques, invasive diagnostic procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis. - Direct mid-level medical care providers, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners assigned to the Inpatient Medical Services. - Provide general administrative supervision to assigned personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
