TriStar Southern Hills is seeking a family medicine physicians for GME Faculty and Core Faculty positions within ourcommunity-based outpatient residency program in Nashville, TN.
Qualified Candidates:
Board certified by the ABMS in family medicine
Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
Interest and ability to provide broad scope patient care
Procedurally oriented for outpatient clinicsetting
Demonstrate interest in the education of residents
Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration
Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning
GME Core Faculty and Faculty Responsibilities:
Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care
Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools
Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety
Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements
Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools
Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees
Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD
Participate in scholarship, preferably in collaboration with residents
Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
