Methodist Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Audiologist (Au.D.) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed and certified professional with a passion for diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of auditory and vestibular disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiological and vestibular evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and vestibular assessments (e.g., VNG/ENG)
  2. Interpret test results to accurately diagnose hearing loss, balance disorders, tinnitus, and auditory processing disorders
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  4. Select, fit, and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, providing ongoing follow-up care and rehabilitation
  5. Provide aural rehabilitation services, including counseling, communication strategies, and auditory training
  6. Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
  7. Counsel and educate patients and their families on hearing health, communication strategies, and the use of amplification devices
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in an electronic health record (EHR) system
  9. Stay current on the latest research, technology, and advancements in the field of audiology
  10. Participate in community outreach and hearing conservation programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program
  2. Current and active state licensure as an Audiologist in Texas
  3. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA) is highly preferred
  4. 2 years of clinical experience in an audiology or Otolaryngology setting is preferred
  5. Experience with a variety of diagnostic equipment and hearing aid manufacturers
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  8. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
