Methodist Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Pulmonologist to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare to our community. At Methodist, we strive to be at the forefront of medical excellence. Our Pulmonology department offers a comprehensive range of services, including: EBUS, bronchoscopies, navigational bronchoscopies, pulmonary functional tests, etc.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonologist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pulmonary care to adult patients, encompassing the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various respiratory conditions. Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including but not limited to asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory infections
  • Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopies, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Manage acute and chronic respiratory illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in the call rotation for pulmonary consultations
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management and prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
  • Covering 2 hospitals and no ICU responsibilities
  • Must be willing to provide weekend coverage: 2 Saturdays or 2 Sundays a month

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Pulmonary Disease
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary Disease
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas
  • DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine
