Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seekingan Advanced Practice ProviderHospitalistto join our team at the Academic Health Center in downtown Indianapolis! The Hospitalist team is a dedicatedAPP to join our Internal MedicineHospitalist Service Line at IUHMG. This full-time night position offers the opportunity to provide care to a complex patient population within an academic medical center, while gaining experience across diverse practice settings. We are looking for an APP with 1-2 years of clinical experience who is passionate about hospital medicine and committed to delivering high quality care. The role offers a collaborative and nurturing environment, working closely with physicians and fellow APPs to support professional growth and foster teamwork. This is a position that will provide an APP wo serve as a Full Time Night Hospitalist for IUHMP Indy Metro region Hospitalist Service Line, affording them experience of various practice settings and patient populations.

Position Details:

  • Join a well-established, supportive team of physicians and advanced providers at a large academic center
  • Full-time, Nights (312-hour shifts; (shift times are 4p-4a or 6p-6a or 7p-7a)
  • Rotating schedule will reflect the same shift and site perweek minimum
  • 100% inpatient

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admitting, rounding and discharging inpatients
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Initiate a workup for diagnosis and implement a treatment plan
  • Perform medical consults for patients and co-manage with multiple subspecialty services
  • Work tandem with a supervising/collaborative physician.
  • Additional responsibilities include cross cover of established patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must have ACNP, FNP or PA
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Inpatient experience preferred
  • If NP, would prefer Critical Care nursing experience
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
