Hospitalist Job at Delphi Healthcare, PLLC in New York

Delphi covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage and provides full benefits including a yearly $25,000 FEA stipend for our W2 providers. We are also open to 1099 and will cover housing and travel if needed. We are open to full-time, part-time and prn. We just ask for at least 4 shifts a month for those interested in prn. All of our sites are 1-year contracts and we also like to cross-credential our providers so they are able to pick up additional shifts at local hospitals if they would like.

Lewis Hospitalists work 12 hours on the floor from 7a-7p and then on call from 7p-7a while an APP manages the house. The physician can leave the hospital and go out to dinner, a movie, etc while on call from 7p-7a. It’s extremely rare that the physician must go back to the hospital while on-call but you may get phone calls. The volume here ranges between 14-18 patients between the physician and APP from 7a-7p. 5 bed open ICU but it's more a like a step-down unit. No vent management. This is a good lower volume and acuity site. We manage the ED, Hospitalist and Anesthesia program at Lewis. We also have a house for our providers to stay at while working which is right next door to the hospital.

-We have an Airbnb next door for nights on-call

-About 5,000 annual visits a year, 1,600 for the nursing home
