Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic healthcare system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist staff.
Description
Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, two skilled nursing facilities, over forty community-based and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.
Little Falls Hospital, a critical access hospital just off the NY Thruway in Little Falls, NY, has 24 inpatient/swing beds and a busy stand-alone ER.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of Hospitalist Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians
- Night, evening, and day shift hours are required.
- The NP or PA will assist with admissions, discharges, and rounding
- Salary range: $115,000 - $130,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good-faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
- Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
Job Qualifications
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- NY state licensure
- BLS and ACLS certification required (courses may be taken through Bassett shortly after starting)
- Previous inpatient experience preferred, but not required
- DEA Required
