Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic healthcare system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist staff.

 

Description

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, two skilled nursing facilities, over forty community-based and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

 

Little Falls Hospital, a critical access hospital just off the NY Thruway in Little Falls, NY, has 24 inpatient/swing beds and a busy stand-alone ER.

 

Job Description & Responsibilities

  1. Join an established group of Hospitalist Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians
  2. Night, evening, and day shift hours are required.
  3. The NP or PA will assist with admissions, discharges, and rounding
  4. Salary range: $115,000 - $130,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good-faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
  5. Sign-on bonus up to $50,000

 

Job Qualifications

  1. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  2. NY state licensure
  3. BLS and ACLS certification required (courses may be taken through Bassett shortly after starting)
  4. Previous inpatient experience preferred, but not required
  5. DEA Required
