Full time position, 50% Residency Director and 50% clinical practice in an established Internal Medicines program. This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership ambitions and a chance to make an impact on a future physician. Program Director will be responsible for setting up and establishing a strong educational program for residents through a collaboration with the University of Minnesota and CentraCare. Candidate would possess experience in GME leadership and a track record of 2 years of teaching experience.
The director will establish a new residency program in the community of St. Cloud, MN. This position will also require a .5 position in a clinical setting with an established Internal Medicine group. This candidate will be a strong advocate for education, promote a strong learning environment and a conducive learning experience for residents. Provide a well-rounded program to enhance a learning experience like none other. Provides a supportive, curious environment for thoughtful questions, exploration and support. This training site will be at the St Cloud Campus of CentraCare. It will support the medical school.
Qualifications
CentraCare has an established Family Practice Residency with a strong track record of teaching and training for over 20 years. The Internal Medicine Residency will enhance the educational experience within CentraCare to provide a learning environment for Internal Medicine Residents. Known for strong colleagues and a supportive work place, CentraCare is excited to expand training opportunities for residents. We will also be able to provide a rural focused environment as we have many hospitals outside our regional level II trauma hospital. This residency will provide a well-rounded experience within system to include a strong medical acuity.
