Job Responsibilities

Diagnosing and treating patients with complex respiratory conditions and critical illnesses.
Providers will work in the intensive care units (ICUs) of 2 campuses: Physicians Regional Coller Boulevard and Physicians Regional Pine Ridge. Providers will rotate between these 2 facilities, one campus per 7 day stretch
Management of life-threatening situations, including but not limited to respiratory failure, severe infections, and multi-organ dysfunction.
Performing advanced procedures including but not limited to bronchoscopy, endotracheal intubation, and managing mechanical ventilation.
Collaborate of care with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for their patients. Communication and teamwork are essential in this role, as situations often warrant quick decisions and the coordination of care plans effectively.

Block Scheduling: 7on/7off
Day Shift: 7a to 7p

Skills

Patient care and procedural skills: Ability to provide intensive monitoring and organ system support for severely ill patients.
Medical knowledge: Understanding of critical care medicine and pulmonary disease.
Practice-based learning and improvement: Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
Interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
