Gastroenterologists admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients ages 17 and older, with injuries or disorders of the Digestive Tract. Treatment includes management of disorders such as, but not limited to, obesity, rectal fissures, liver disease, gallbladder disease, GERD, Barrett's Esophagus, as well as performing routine and required endoscopic services. . Gastroenterologists may provide care to patients in the in-patient units, performing consults and providing care in out-patient clinics. Gastroenterologists assess, stabilize and determine the disposition of patients with emergent and non-emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $517,744 to $627,901 annually. The range or contractual rate listed may not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member's compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
Minimum Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
Residency trained in USA
Fellowship in Gastroentrology
Minimum Experience: Graduating from a Gastroenterology Fellowship, you are welcome to apply also offering a Fellowship Stipend
Certification/Registration Requirement:
License - Active NY State Medical License
Board Eligibility/ Board Certification in Gastroenterology within 5 years of fellowship completion
DEA - NY State required
Infection Control - NY State
Certified BLS certification preferred ACLS certification required
ECFMG required if applicable
