Exceptional opportunity to become part of the Huntsville Hospital Spine and Neurosurgery practice established in 1964.
Huntsville Hospital Spine and Neuro is the only Neurosurgery practice of its size in our area. There are two to three clinical days and two OR days designated per week. You must have completed a surgical first assist program. Details of the position will be discussed at the interview.
The case mix for the practice is 75% spine and 25% cranial with a full complement of both spine and cranial cases. The physical therapy clinic is approximately 4,000 sq. ft. The outpatient surgery center is housed on the second floor of the building, directly above the neurosurgeon's clinic. MRI unit is conveniently located on the same floor as the practice in the GMT building.
We are currently enrolled in Vigilant-Observational study of Gliadel Wafer Implant Study. The Gliadel Wafer is a drug that is used in a patient with a glioblastoma tumor. The group has previously been involved in multiple research studies with most of the leading device manufacturers and many pharmaceutical companies. The practice employs a research coordinator and is a top tier study site for Orthofix, SI Bone and Globus Medical.
