Obstetrician  in the “Azalea City of the South” on the Georgia Florida Line 

South Georgia Medical Center is a 419-licensed bed health system, comprised of a main campus and three satellite campuses; SGMC Berrien Campus, SGMC Lanier Campus, and SGMC Outpatient Plaza. The new Women and Infant center will support 3,000 annual births. With 12 labor/delivery/recovery Rooms, 8 Antepartum Rooms, 2 c-section Rooms, 8 Emergency OB Rooms, 24 Postpartum Rooms, Newborn Nursery, 6 NICU rooms, 8 Pediatric Rooms.

Qualifications:

  • Board eligible/certified in obstetrics
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development and team building.  Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record is a significant plus. 
  • Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to create a positive and productive environment that promotes collegiality and innovation in all settings 

Position Description:

  • Regional hospital system with over 2400 delivers
  • State of the art equipment for OB/GYN  that includes surgery center w/robot assisted deliveries available, and all ancillary services 
  • Fully staffed service line, LD, NICU, 2 Neonatologist, nursery and peds.
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Shared Call  1-3
  • Hospital based employment or join a group in town
