DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY & VISUAL SCIENCES

COMPREHENSIVE FACULTY POSITION 

Opportunity

The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented comprehensive ophthalmologist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.  This is an open-rank, full-time position in a traditional-track or clinician-educator track. 

The Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute, a national leader as a full-service academic ophthalmology center, is home to 27 physicians, 7 optometrists, and 5 faculty vision scientists whose mission is to improve, restore and preserve sight.    This practice is based at our Eye Specialists clinic location in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin (west of Racine), with ample OR time at the Drexel Town Square Surgery Center in Oak Creek.  Call is shared equally with the ophthalmology team, equating to 3-4 weeks of trauma and consult call per year.

Successful candidates should bring strong clinical and surgical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW s academic missions. Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology and be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin. An interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported.
