UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience. At the UnityPoint Health  Allen Hospital  Community Cancer Center, local doctors, nurses and support personnel have teamed up with one goal in mind to provide exceptional cancer care.

Overview:

• Full-time opportunity
• Efficient, well-supported clinic located at United Medical Park an ambulatory campus which has a Multi-specialty ASC attached
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Call coverage with work/life balance
• 204 bed Hospital, Level 3 trauma center with established Hospitalist Team
• 12 bed ICU with intensivist
• Support from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Practice Details:

• Hip and knee joint replacements in the inpatient as well as outpatient setting
• Robotic technology available
• Flexible work week-with built in surgery days at the hospital and ASC
• Advanced Practice provider support
• Opportunity to take care of revsion joint replacements and periprosthetic fractues if desire to build that niche of the practice
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• BC/BE Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction/Joint replacement surgery.
• Hold a current and unrestricted license or certification in the state of Iowa
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to work as a team member
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate
