Dermatologist Job at Henry Ford Health in Jackson, MI

Henry Ford Health -Jackson (HFHJ)  is seeking a  Dermatologist,  Board Certified or Board Eligible to join a growing and thriving Dermatology group located in the Jackson, Michigan. Henry Ford -Jackson merged  with  Henry Ford Health Systems  (HFHS -Detroit Area) in April 2016. This merger is very exciting for Henry Ford Health -Jackson and our community. This partnership has supported the construction of  an innovation center (adding State of Art Simulation & Research Labs) Fall 2017, a Surgical Patient Tower was added providing 66 private rooms Fall 2018, and  implementation of EPIC  house wide (INPT & OUTPT) in 2016.

Henry Ford Health - Jackson providers have the advantage of an established large referral base that continues to grow as the organization has plans to add significantly more Primary Care Physicians over the coming years. The well-matched candidate will be interested in providing high quality, patient-centered care within a provider group that has experience in medical and surgical dermatology. Both recent and new graduates as well as more established physicians that are like-minded and are interested in being a part of a robust and reputable practice are encouraged to apply.

The Dermatology practice provides medical (90%) and cosmetic (10%) services.  If a provider is looking to grow the cosmetic that is certainly an option and available.  Patients who visit the clinic generally result in a procedure about 80% of the time.  If a provider sees 4-5  patients per hour, 3-4 of those would include a procedure.  Procedures include simple skin tag removals to skin cancer biopsies, etc. We are looking to add 2 physicians to our employed medical group.

We also have plastics/reconstructive surgeons located on the same campus as our Dermatology. This may be a great opportunity for someone interested in General Derm. Large referral source, very busy practice, seeing 4-5 patients per hour, MA and RN and several support staff.
