The Department of Psychiatry at South Oaks Hospital is seeking a full time attending psychiatrist (M-F: 12p-8p) to provide clinical leadership and direct care for our busy Evaluation and Admissions unit in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory and interpersonal skills who are comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skill set appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.
Candidate must be Board Certified in Psychiatry, with ACGME approved residency training, and eligible for a NYS medical license. Excellent communication skills required. Experience preferred but new graduates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills are encouraged to apply.
