The Orange Family Medical Group is a state-of-the-art family practice with traditional values. We have served the medical needs of patients of all ages in Hillsborough, Orange County and surrounding areas since 1978. Located beside the Eno River in downtown Hillsborough near the Orange County Courthouse, our goal is to provide convenient, compassionate, high-quality health care.

We understand the demands of today’s busy lifestyles, so we offer a walk-in clinic 7 days a week – no appointment necessary! As the only walk-in clinic in Hillsborough, we offer advanced technology in the clinic, including 30-day heart monitoring and X-rays on site. In addition, we now offer cardiology services with a cardiologist seeing patients at the practice one day per week.

Orange Family Medical Group has been serving Hillsborough and surrounding areas for nearly 40 years. From children and teens to adults and seniors, our physicians and staff strive to provide compassionate, comprehensive and high-quality care. In 2011, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognized us for outstanding patient care efforts.

Job description/ / Responsibilities

Provides professional medical services to patients.
Exercises independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care and other health and medical services.
Prescribes medically appropriate pharmaceuticals.
Consults and counsels with patients and families.
Provides health and medical education to patients and families.
Refers patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other healthcare professionals to assure multidisciplinary care is provided.
Documents medical and clinical care in the patient's medical record.
Assigns the appropriate diagnosis and procedural codes to permit third party insurance billing.
Supervises other medical professionals.
Adheres to the principles of medical ethics.
